Meet The Doctor
Practicing periodontics has been a true blessing in my life. It is extremely gratifying to know that, through the work that I do, my patients are able to live longer, healthier, and happier lives. I have been granted the gift of good health and hope to continue serving my patients for many years to come.
Education and Experience
I earned my undergraduate degree at University of California Los Angeles in 1960 and continued on to graduate with my Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Southern California School of Dentistry in 1964. I received the Julio Edelman Award for Excellence in Oral Pathology and Periodontology.
After graduating from dental school, I served in the United States Air Force, stationed in Southeast Asia, for two years. It was at that time I made the decision to pursue periodontics as my specialty.
My post graduate Certificate in Periodontics was completed at the University of Washington in 1970.
Today I continue my education throughout the year, focusing on all aspects of periodontics and dentistry in order to provide my patients with the most advanced techniques that will provide them with a level of care they deserve. In fact, as student of the inventor of the revolutionary Pinhole Technique, I am one of a select few dentists worldwide that is certified to perform this work.
Outside the Office
I am a native of Los Angeles and live here with my wife, Sarah. We have two grown children, Leah and Zach, and a two sibling rescues named Sophia and Roxy, both German Shepard mixes. When I’m not in the office, I enjoy my leisure time mountain biking, working out, skiing, reading, volunteering as a soccer referee, and most of all, being with my family. My eldest, Leah is married to Greg Bertens and they have produced two outstanding children, Auden and Isla.
