Meet Dr. Piehl
Joel J. Piehl, DDS
Practicing periodontics has been a true blessing in my life. It is extremely gratifying to know that, through the work that I do, my patients are able to live longer, healthier, and happier lives. I have been granted the gift of good health and hope to continue serving my patients for many years to come.
Education and Experience
I earned my undergraduate degree at University of California Los Angeles in 1960 and continued on to graduate with my Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Southern California School of Dentistry in 1964. After graduating from dental school, I served in the United States Air Force, stationed in Southeast Asia, for two years. My post graduate Certificate in Periodontics was completed at the University of Washington in 1970. I continue my education throughout the year, focusing on all aspects of periodontics and dentistry in order to provide my patients with the level of care they deserve.
Professional Affiliations
Outside the Office
I am a native of Los Angeles and live here with my wife, Sarah. We have two grown children, Leah and Zach, and a rescued dog named Molly. When I'm not in the office, I enjoy my leisure time mountain biking, working out, skiing, reading, volunteering as a soccer referree, and being with my family.
